The Fun Bus Has Arrived at Children Central !!!

Children Central now offers a new and very fun extracurricular activity known as the ‘Fun Bus.” The Fun Bus provides weekly fitness classes to the students at Children Central all year long on a climate controlled bus! This program gets the children out of the four walls that make up their classroom and allows them to have the space to burn energy, dance, run, jump, tumble, swing and sing, without being disruptive. From the children’s perspective, they are on a field trip, but we know that they are getting the exercise that they need in a way that is not only fun, but will help them to develop a good attitude towards physical activity that will stay with them for a lifetime.

The classes are led by two Fun Bus Instructors and consist of a 30 minute session that begins with a warm up, followed by structured activities which enhance not just physical strength, but self-confidence and social skills in a non-competitive environment. The classes close with a cool down and the kids singing songs. Fun Bus has consistently been the most attended enrichment program in the schools that they service because parents and teachers alike recognize how critical the service they are providing is and most of all; the children are having a BUS LOAD of FUN!

The program has been tried and proven over and over again around the country. They are fully insured and while their goal is to develop healthy attitudes toward fitness, your child’s safety is their main concern.

This is not your average children’s fitness program. Remember that they pull the bus right up to our school so:

• The kids get to go outside even when it is cold
• There are many different types of large equipment that the children get to use in each session
• There are many different kinds of manipulatives that are incorporated into the class
• The class is set to age appropriate music
• Children from 18 months are accepted
